Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
John Lowe is the Chief Financial Officer at SquareTwo Financial. Lowe leads the corporate controller’s office, decision sciences, internal audit, financial planning and analysis, and technical and financial accounting teams for the company.
Previously, Lowe served in multiple leadership positions at SquareTwo including Treasurer and VP of Finance. He has been integral in driving multiple company-wide initiatives, including enhancing SquareTwo’s comprehensive compliance program and transforming the finance organization over the last five years. Lowe was also a key leader in the issuance of SquareTwo’s bonds in 2010. He started his career at Deloitte and Touche LLP serving in both the assurance and capital markets service lines in Denver, New York, and Washington D.C.
Lowe is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Colorado and a Chartered Financial Analyst. He earned his bachelor’s of science in Accountancy and Finance from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
J.B. Richardson, Jr.
Chief Operating Officer
J.B. Richardson, Jr. currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer for SquareTwo Financial. In this role, Richardson leads all day-to-day operations of our business, as well as the development and execution of SquareTwo’s organizational strategies. Prior to this role, he served as the Senior Vice President, Operations and Vice President of Strategic Development.
Prior to joining SquareTwo, Richardson worked as an Investment Associate at KRG Capital Partners. Richardson also previously served as an investment banking analyst for Wachovia Capital Markets in Charlotte, North Carolina. Richardson graduated with honors with a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Commerce from Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia.
William A. Weeks
Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer
William A. (Bill) Weeks serves as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer. Weeks has over 15 years of Information Technology experience, and has responsibility for all IT operations and systems development within our company. He works to establish systems strategies that align with and enable profitable revenue growth.
Weeks joined SquareTwo Financial from Key Equipment Finance, where he most recently served as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer. Before joining Key, Weeks held positions in the Information Technology arena with National City Commercial Capital, the Provident Bank, PCFS Mortgage Resources, and Makino Incorporated.
Weeks is a Marine Corp Veteran, and holds a certificate in Executive Management from the University of Colorado in Boulder. Additionally, he is a member of the Society for Information Management, ELFA Operations and Technology Committee, CIO Executive Council, and a Volunteer with Boy Scouts of America
Senior Vice President, General Counsel
Alan Singer serves as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary for SquareTwo Financial. Singer is responsible for overseeing all of SquareTwo Financial’s legal efforts. He has practiced law for over 25 years in all facets of the consumer and commercial finance industry.
Singer joined SquareTwo in 2001 serving as Associate General Counsel, a position in which he demonstrated exceptional skill in business problem resolution. Prior to joining SquareTwo, Singer worked for ING Security Life of Denver Insurance Company, where he served in positions of increasing responsibility eventually becoming Vice President of Regulatory Compliance and Customer Relations. Singer earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Denver, College of Law.
Mark D. Erickson
Senior Vice President Business Development
Mark D. Erickson serves as SVP of Acquisitions and Market Development at SquareTwo Financial. In this role, Erickson is responsible for sourcing investment opportunities for all lines of business across the company. Prior to his current role, Erickson developed the company’s commercial funding division.
Erickson joined SquareTwo Financial from Key Equipment Finance, where he most recently served as senior vice president and general manager of KEF’s government and healthcare finance businesses. Through a distinguished career with Key he also held roles including vice president of sales for information technology, managing director of KEF Australia-New Zealand, vice president of U.S. and Canadian portfolio client service, and manager of credit and debt syndication for Leasetec Corporation (which was acquired by Key). Erickson earned his bachelor’s of arts degree from the University of Denver and his MBA in finance from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri.
President and CEO – Canada
Walker is the President and CEO of SquareTwo Financial Canada. He oversees business development and strategy for SquareTwo operations in Canada, including the company’s subsidiaries, Metropolitan Legal Administration Services Ltd. and Preferred Credit Resources. His career in accounting and finance spans more than 20 years, including owning and operating of Metropolitan Collection Services where he served as President and acting as CFO at Officeland Inc.
Walker’s experience and sense of community have led to leadership roles with various chambers of commerce, the Ontario Small Claims Court Committee and the Georgian Bay chapter of Certified Management Accountants. Walker is a graduate of the Business Administration program at Sheridan College and holds a CMA designation from the Society of Management Accountants of Ontario.
Kristin A. Thielking
Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Organizational Development
Kristin A. Thielking serves as Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Organizational Development. In this role, Thielking is responsible for the development and implementation of all company-wide HR policies and programs
Thielking joined SquareTwo Financial from Orbitz Worldwide, where she most recently served as Senior Director of Human Resources. Throughout her career at Orbitz, Thielking effectively dealt with numerous organizational changes including acquisitions, divestitures, and organizational repositionings and international employee relations matters, involving more than 2000 employees in 22 countries. Thielking earned her bachelors degree from University of Wyoming, and is working towards her masters degree in Human Resources Management from Webster University.
