Mikel J. Burroughs, President
Burroughs is the President of SquareTwo Financial Healthcare Funding. He is responsible for managing the execution of all healthcare portfolio sales, as well as the marketing and operations of the purchased healthcare portfolios. As a decorated Colonel in the U.S. Army Reserves, Burroughs has over 34 years experience as a proven leader. He achieved his goals in the civil sector while simultaneously working with Sears Roebuck and C.B. Accounts, Inc.
Burroughs has a bachelor’s degree in management from Illinois State University. He has also earned a master’s degree in strategic studies from the Army War College.
Dean C. Szobody, Director of Operations and Franchise Development
Szobody is Director of Operations and Franchise Development at SquareTwo Financial Healthcare Funding. He helps to maximize the performance of our medical groups and agencies nationwide.
Prior to joining Healthcare Funding, Szobody was a successful Sr. Loss Control Associate for Citi Financial Auto. Szobody has more than 20 years of experience in personal and corporate debt recovery in the automobile, credit card, student loan and transportation logistics industries within the United States and Canada.
Jeremy G. Simmons, Assistant Director of Franchise Development
Simmons is the Assistant Director of Franchise Development at SquareTwo Financial Healthcare Funding. He is responsible for managing the performance of the medical franchises and outside agencies nationwide.
Prior to joining Healthcare Funding Solutions, Simmons was a Sr. Dealer Credit Analyst for Chrysler Financial. He has more than 9 years of collective experience in collections, consumer and commercial credit, loss mitigation, and relationship management in the automotive finance industry. Simmons currently holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
Michael Toth, Director Portfolio Acquisitions
Toth is Portfolio Acquisitions Director at SquareTwo Financial Healthcare Funding. He is responsible for new business development within the South Central and Southeastern regions. His primary responsibilities include new and existing client development within all areas of healthcare debt purchasing.
Prior to joining Healthcare Funding Solutions, Toth was Director of Sales for CashRetriever Systems and Vice President of Sales for Dynamic Resource Management. Toth has over 17 years of experience in revenue cycle sales solutions.
Frank Viola, Jr., Director of Portfolio Acquisitions
Viola is Director for Portfolio Acquisitions at SquareTwo Financial Healthcare Funding, covering the Rocky Mountain and Western U.S. regions. He helps hospitals and physician groups positively impact their revenue cycles.
Prior to joining Healthcare Funding, Viola was Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Solution Design Team, a Senior Account Manager for SAS Institute and a Major Account Manager for Cisco Systems.
